christmas came early in this house.

i have purposely chosen to not update in a few days because i know nobody wants to hear about what a train wreck this crib to bed transition has been.  i can gladly say that its slowly starting to get better but i wouldn't have been able to think of anything else to write about so i decided to spare you the details.

since we will be in san diego for the whole week before christmas (and a day or two after), we decided to have a mini christmas of our own at the house today.  we wanted makena to be able to open her gifts from us since she will be getting so many from family next week.  we had a blast.  turned on the tree lights, the holiday tunes, and lit some candles.  i love love love this time of year.

christmas really came early for me last night when the fedex guy delivered our brand new bob double stroller.  we have been researching and pricing this stroller for the last 6+ months and it was just too good of a price to pass up.  not to mention we used a 30% off coupon and will be getting $110 back in kohl's cash so i can get the snack tray, carseat adapter and parent console for free.  i'm in love.

a huge thanks to uncle justin, auntie laura, david, noah, adelyn and owen for makena's awesome pottery barn chair. she loves it! (and so do i!)
